Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking an MBSE Model Manager to lead the development and governance of the system model across the product lifecycle. You will align cross-functional teams, manage requirements, and ensure traceability from concepts to verification in a MBSE environment.

You will drive model governance, standards, and risk mitigation to deliver cohesive system solutions. You will guide a team of engineers, own modeling artifacts, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Emerging expertise in Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
• Knowledge of systems architecture, systems integration, and V&V principles.
• Hands-on experience with MBSE tools such as CAMEO EA or Rhapsody.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to drive systems engineering products.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the system model as the authoritative source of truth.
• Align and connect subsystems through top-down decomposition of requirements.
• Track milestones, risks, and technical performance.
• Manage model access, version control, and change control processes.
• Support milestone reviews with model-derived artifacts and deliverables.
• Oversee system integration and verification activities to ensure functionality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of modeling standards and practices.
