Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to drive MBSE activities across the full system lifecycle. You will define requirements, develop architectures, and verify performance using SysMLv2 and CAMEO, while promoting MOSA principles and digital twin approaches.

The role collaborates with propulsion, avionics, software, and structural teams to ensure traceability, risk management, and compliant engineering processes throughout development, production, and deployment.

Qualifications

• SysML background with experience in CAMEO (No Magic) required or preferred.
• Familiarity with MOSA design and open systems concepts.
• Familiarity with FAA and USG certification activities preferred.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with organizational rigor.

Responsibilities

• Model-Based Systems Engineering & Architecture across system lifecycle.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain SysMLv2 architectures using CAMEO to support requirements, modeling, interfaces, and verification.
• Train coworkers on CAMEO best practices to improve standardization and efficiency.
• Establish and manage a digital thread linking requirements, architectures, data, and baselines.
• Create digital twin models for performance prediction and design trade studies.
• Apply WARU SE Fundamentals throughout the lifecycle and ensure compliance.
