Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a Digital Engineer to lead MBSE activities, develop system models, and perform simulation for artillery programs at Huntsville. This mid-to-senior role emphasizes SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, and MATLAB/Simulink to refine architectures and support verification.

The successful candidate will collaborate across engineering teams, contribute to digital twin initiatives, and help ensure compliance with DoD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 5–10+ years in systems or digital engineering, MBSE, or related field.
• Proficiency with SysML and MBSE methodologies; hands-on modeling tools.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for simulation or analysis.
• Background in defense programs and ability to obtain/maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and refine MBSE models using SysML-based tools for architecture, requirements, integration and verification.
• Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate behavior, performance, and design trade-offs for artillery programs.
• Create digital engineering artifacts for milestones, reviews, and system integration.
• Coordinate with engineering and program management to align digital thread across disciplines.
• Implement modeling standards using Cameo/MagicDraw and related environments.
• Support digital twins, digital representations, and simulation-driven design.
• Provide input during design discussions and risk assessments; ensure compliance with DoD guidelines.
