Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – Architecture and Requirements in Cameo to guide architecture and requirements development for missile-related systems. The role interfaces with Software, Hardware, Safety, Reliability, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure first-time-right design decisions.

Expect to lead MBSE-driven decomposition, verification planning, and collaboration with SMEs and IPTLs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, TAs, IPTLs, REAs, and program stakeholders.
• Experience defining, decomposing, and verifying requirements with MBSE tools (Cameo).
• Experience in System of Systems architecture using MBSE tools such as Cameo.
• Experience in 3 or more areas of the Systems-V model.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage systems architecture, requirements, interface definitions & description documents, system integration, and system verification using Cameo by collaborating with multiple IPTLs and SMEs.
• Work with Suppliers and the Supply Chain organization for procured items managed through the role of REA for that Assembly.
• Support flight test activities and telemetry analysis post-flight, and write test reports.
• Provide SE technical expertise in development, integration, troubleshooting and failure investigations.
• Lead technical discussions and formulate plans of action with SMEs across engineering disciplines.
• Support SPC assessments in the factory and in hardware verification of missile sections and launch platforms.
• Lead peer reviews and formal release of CDRLs and Technical Data Package documents.
