Job summary

Belcan is seeking a REMOTE MBE Platform Advisor to lead platform strategy, architecture development, and advisory services for customers pursuing Model-Based Enterprise transformations.

The role emphasizes shaping future-state architectures, defining integration strategies, and creating roadmaps across CAD, PLM, MES, QMS, ERP, and analytics platforms while maintaining ~25% billable utilization. A strong background in enterprise platforms and Digital Thread is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Manufacturing, Business Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting engineering systems, enterprise platforms, Digital Thread initiatives, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation programs.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as CAD, PLM, MES, QMS, ERP, analytics, or integration technologies.
• Experience defining system integrations, data flows, business processes, or enterprise architectures.
• Understanding of Model-Based Engineering, Digital Thread, and enterprise transformation concepts.
• Strong communication, facilitation, architecture visualization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to travel as required and maintain approximately 25% billable utilization.

Responsibilities

• Shape early Model-Based Enterprise platform and infrastructure strategies.
• Define future-state architectures supporting Digital Thread and Model-Based Enterprise objectives.
• Establish target-state architectures, system boundaries, ownership models, and integration strategies.
• Develop platform roadmaps aligned with customer business objectives and transformation goals.
• Evaluate current-state environments and identify modernization opportunities.
• Support creation of enterprise MBE implementation strategies.
• Translate engineering workflows into platform, integration, and data architecture requirements.
• Define system responsibilities, interfaces, data ownership models, and information exchange requirements.
• Create architecture views illustrating platform interactions and Digital Thread data flows.
• Identify integration requirements spanning engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and business operations.
• Support development of scalable enterprise integration approaches.
• Advise customers on platform strategy spanning CAD, PLM, MES, QMS, ERP, analytics environments, and integration platforms.
• Assess platform maturity, capabilities, limitations, and alignment with business goals.
• Support platform modernization planning and transformation roadmaps.
• Help customers prioritize platform investments and implementation sequencing.
• Define practical approaches for long-term platform evolution.
• Support development of enterprise Digital Thread strategies.
• Define information flows connecting engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and business operations.
• Establish authoritative data source strategies and ownership models.
• Identify governance, traceability, interoperability, and lifecycle management requirements.

Job description

A REMOTE MBE Platform Advisor position is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct position with benefits.

The successful candidate will help customers define and execute Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) platform strategies by aligning engineering workflows, business objectives, and enterprise technology architectures.

This role serves as a strategic advisor responsible for translating model-based engineering workflows into platform, integration, and data architecture requirements. The Platform Advisor helps customers define future-state architectures, identify system responsibilities, establish data exchange strategies, and develop platform roadmaps that support Digital Thread and Model-Based Enterprise objectives.

The Platform Advisor works closely with MBDMI Technology Advisors, MBSE leaders, Platform Integration teams, customer stakeholders, and Cognizant platform specialists to understand business processes and technical requirements while helping shape enterprise-scale transformation strategies.

The role combines strategy development, enterprise architecture planning, platform assessment, and customer-facing advisory activities. Approximately 75% of the role focuses on MBE platform strategy, architecture development, and advisory services, while approximately25% supports billable customer consulting engagements.

The ideal candidate combines knowledge of engineering business processes, enterprise platforms, system integration, and Digital Thread concepts with the ability to help customers define practical transformation roadmaps.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $150,000-$180,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
