Job summary

Cortex is seeking an MBA Investment Associate to work directly with our CEO and M&A team on acquisition strategy and live opportunities. You’ll help assess which businesses we should pursue, their value, and how Cortex can create value through AI-enabled improvements.

You’ll own defined workstreams, develop recommendations, and contribute to decisions on early acquisitions, including financial analysis, diligence support, and evaluating transaction structures with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial statements and modeling.
• Ability to form a view from incomplete information.
• Able to challenge assumptions and communicate clearly.
• Interest in how AI can reshape established businesses.

Responsibilities

• Develop investment theses and source opportunities.
• Underwrite acquisitions and build valuation models.
• Advance live transactions with the M&A team.
