USI Insurance Services seeks an Employee Benefits professional to manage client accounts and serve as the day-to-day contact for carriers and clients.
You will educate and advise clients on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform, and set up new group contracts for existing or new clients.
General Description: Manages Employee Benefits insurance accounts and serves as their day-to-day contact.
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process all policy changes, endorsements and other requests as needed.
Special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2+ years experience in employee benefits industry or related marketplace. Brokerage environment and bachelor's degree preferred.
Accident & Health license is required or ability to obtain within three months from date of hire.
Ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve.
Ability to stay organized and focused in a busy environment.
Personable and credible.
Professional and dependable.
Detailed understanding of all types of health and ancillary benefit plan designs and claim procedures.
Basic understanding of full and partially insured.
Experienced in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills capable of using and interpreting benefit related facts and figures
