Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC is seeking a Shipping Lead to guide the Shipping Team in meeting daily production goals. The role emphasizes providing tools and information, coaching on procedures, and ensuring safe operations while coordinating with management for smooth communications.

The Shipping Lead will manage daily activities, monitor performance, and prepare the department for the next day’s build, driving quality and efficiency across the team.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily activities of team members in the department.
• Updates all performance boards on an hour by hour basis.
• Conducts morning stretch & flex and briefs all employees from daily production report.
• Follows up on all safety incidents/near misses as required to ensure a safe work environment.
• Attends morning production meetings as directed.
• Understands product knowledge of all components in the department.
• Operates all machines and hand tools in the department as necessary and required.
• At the end of the day, sets up the department for the next day’s build.
• Coach employees on policies and procedures as necessary and required.
• Covers for the supervisor in their absence.
• Monitor workers on site during shipping activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures.
• Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards.
• Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use.
• Work as middleman between workers and management to create healthy communication.
