Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC is seeking a Paint Technician to safely and efficiently provide paint kitchen support in the Finishing department. The role requires strong technical skills in color, finishes and finishing processes, plus hazardous material handling.

Key tasks include mixing topcoat/sealer/stain with proper reducers, logging production activity, and ensuring correct finish thickness while accounting for temperature and humidity. Shifts are 1st with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Hazardous material and respirator certifications required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and support department initiatives.
• Technical ability with color, finishes and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and use fixed-gauge measurement instruments (metric and standard).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and carry out all written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain production goals and flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Mix topcoat, sealer and stain with reducers and additives and maintain proper temperatures.
• Schedule, record, and track departmental activity logs and reports.
• Mix color/topcoat/sealer onto parts moving on overhead line.
• Monitor finish substance and adjust volume/thickness with temperature/humidity changes.
• Assist with hazardous waste handling and disposal.
• Load/unload trucks for material shipments as needed.
• Rotate into other finishing positions per requirements.
• Support safety programs and MasterBrand Production System (MPS).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Support Specialist.
