Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory's Prototype Fabrication (PF) Division seeks qualified Mazak Integrex machinists to provide machining support for critical Lab components. You will set up and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes, as well as wire EDM, manufacturing complex parts from drawings and CAD models.

Onsite work in Los Alamos, NM requires teamwork and adherence to safety in both classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in setup and operation of Mazak Integrex CNC machines to tight tolerances.
• Proficient in applied shop mathematics.
• Development of machining processes including fixturing and tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts using manual and CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and CAD models.
• Work in both classified and unclassified areas supporting various customers.
• Maintain safety and quality in a team environment.
