Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking Mazak Integrex machinists to provide fabrication support in the Prototype Fabrication Division. You will set up and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes, wire EDM, and read complex drawings or CAD models to produce precision parts for classified and unclassified work.

You will work in a team, adhere to safety guidelines, and contribute to long-term program goals.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating Mazak Integrex CNC tools to produce parts with high difficulty and tight tolerances.
• Skill in applied shop mathematics.
• Experience developing machining processes, including fixturing and tooling design/selection.
• Ability to perform basic precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, verniers.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mazak Integrex CNC machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Set up machines, select tooling, and fixture parts for efficient production.
• Read complex drawings or CAD models to ensure conformance to tolerances.
• Work safely in an industrial environment and support team goals.
