Job summary

VSolvit, LLC is seeking a Maximo Project Manager to lead IBM Maximo projects supporting DoD and U.S. Navy customers.

You will manage schedules, staffing, budgets, risk, and customer communications, coordinating with PMs, TPMs, architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The role emphasizes leadership, coordination, and compliance activities, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, CS, Engineering, PM, or related field.
• 2-4 years of Government program experience, preferably DoD or Navy customers.
• Experience leading enterprise application projects with cross-functional teams.
• Strong PM, organizational, scheduling and coordination abilities.
• Understanding of IBM Maximo environments and asset management operations.
• Experience with software sustainment, modernization, integration or operational support.
• Leadership and supervisory experience in project/operational settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Security+ certification and DoD Secret clearance eligibility.
• 5+ years in Maximo Asset Management environments; DoD/Navy experience preferred.
• PMP preferred; familiarity with Agile/SAFe/ITIL; RMF cybersecurity/enterprise sustainment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary PM for all IBM Maximo-related efforts.
• Manage schedules, staffing, priorities, deliverables, budgets and customer expectations.
• Coordinate sustainment, modernization, integration, upgrades, migration and ops support.
• Monitor risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
• Track/report status, milestones, resources, and ops metrics.
• Support contract execution, RMF coordination, compliance tracking and communications.
• Lead meetings, reviews, status updates, and customer briefings.
• Align execution with Maximo technical implementation strategies with architects.
• Develop/maintain schedules, risk registers, SOPs and docs.
• Coordinate release planning, change management, deployment, and readiness.
• Support incident management, escalations, outages and reporting.
• Monitor feedback/metrics to identify process improvements.
• Support audits, compliance reviews and reporting requirements.
• Provide supervision/leadership to project staff; assign tasks and workloads.
• Mentor team members; foster collaboration and accountability.

**POSITION IS REMOTE, OR HYBRID IN VENTURA, CA**

Job Summary

The Maximo Project Manager provides leadership and oversight for IBM Maximo-related projects and operational efforts supporting Department of Defense and U.S. Navy customers. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, resources, customer coordination, operational support, modernization initiatives, and sustainment activities associated with the Maximo application environment.

The Maximo Project Manager works closely with the Program Manager, Technical Program Manager, Maximo Solutions Architect, developers, system administrators, and customer stakeholders to coordinate project execution, manage risk, oversee staffing and priorities, and ensure successful delivery of Maximo-related efforts. While the Maximo Solutions Architect leads technical solution design and implementation, the Maximo Project Manager focuses on project execution, customer engagement, resource management, operational coordination, and compliance activities.

This role also provides leadership and oversight to assigned project personnel supporting Maximo-related efforts, including workload coordination, mentoring, performance feedback, and operational management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track and report project status, milestones, resource utilization, and operational metrics
• Support contract execution activities including reporting, RMF coordination, compliance tracking, and customer communications
• Facilitate meetings, project reviews, technical status updates, and customer briefings
• Coordinate with the Maximo Solutions Architect to align project execution with technical implementation strategies
• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, action trackers, SOPs, and operational documentation
• Coordinate release planning, change management, deployment activities, and operational readiness efforts
• Support incident management, escalation activities, outage communications, and operational reporting
• Monitor customer feedback and operational metrics to identify process improvement opportunities
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements
• Provide supervision and leadership to assigned project personnel, administrators, analysts, and support staff
• Assign tasks, monitor workload distribution, and ensure activities are completed in accordance with priorities and schedules
• Mentor and develop team members while promoting collaboration and accountability across project teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

* Experience: 2-4 years of Government program experience, preferably supporting Department of Defense or Navy customers.

* Desired Skills:

Experience managing enterprise application projects and cross-functional teams

Strong project management, organizational, scheduling, and coordination skills

Functional understanding of IBM Maximo application environments and enterprise asset management operations

Experience supporting software sustainment, modernization, integration, or operational support initiatives

Leadership and supervisory experience in a project or operational environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Certification: Security+ certification.

* Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred:

* 5+ years supporting IBM Maximo Asset Management environments

* Experience supporting Department of Defense or Navy enterprise systems

* PMP Certification preferred

* Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, ITIL, or hybrid project management methodologies

* Experience supporting RMF, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise sustainment efforts

* Familiarity with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), enterprise integrations, and Maximo operational workflows
