Job summary

Plains is seeking a Maximo Business System Owner to coordinate stakeholder needs and manage the PAA Maximo EAM instance. The role requires strong collaboration with Operations, Commercial, and IS teams to capture requirements, configure systems, and drive improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in technical analysis or engineering, a STEM degree, and deep Maximo and Office skills. This office-based role emphasizes safety, compliance, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year college degree in STEM or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years of experience in a technical analysis, maintenance / reliability, or engineering role.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English and the ability to perform basic math.
• Detailed knowledge across a broad range of field operations, maintenance, and safety work practices.
• Experience managing end users, data, and system configurations for EAM and related software platforms.
• Ability to work in a team-based work environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of Plains’ O&M Manual, specifications, and forms used to document inspection and maintenance activities.
• Must have a detailed knowledge of the Maximo EAM platform and related technologies.
• Must have comprehensive computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite with strong emphasis on Excel and/or other spreadsheet applications.
• Must be familiar with PHMSA and OSHA regulations as well as Plains’ operating procedures.
• Must have an outstanding safety record.
• Ability to successfully complete company training as assigned.
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholder teams from Commercial, Operations, Engineering, and HSE at least monthly.
• Support business process improvements leveraging system capabilities.
• Define a multi-year roadmap for system capabilities aligned to business needs.
• Capture, prioritize, and manage stakeholder initiatives to completion.
• Oversee projects requiring new or enhanced system capabilities or integrations.
• Act as primary IS contact for the PAA Maximo instance and debottleneck support.
• Plan and oversee testing of all system changes prior to implementation.
• Collaborate to ensure training and reference guides are provided.
• Provide direct business support to resolve end user issues.
• Analyze end-user issues and identify mitigations.
