Delta College is seeking a full-time tenure-track Mathematics faculty member starting Fall 2027. The instructor will teach face-to-face, blended, and online courses at multiple Downtown Centers and other locations, including evenings and nontraditional times.

Position Summary Information

The Mathematics Discipline at Delta College is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty member committed to equity, retention, and completion for student success. The instructor will be responsible for effective teaching in the face-to-face, blended, and online classroom. Potential candidates will have the ability to teach online as well as face-to-face and blended/hybrid courses during the evening, at multiple locations (Downtown Centers), and nontraditional times as needed. In addition, we seek candidates whose pedagogy, research, and continuous professional development have prepared them to engage with the college’s commitment to belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion ( BEDI ).

Required Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in mathematics or a related discipline with a minimum of 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics content.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom climate and designing curricula that foster greater sense of community.
  • Recent experience in teaching mathematics in an active learning environment.
  • Experience using a variety of teaching modalities, educational technology, and delivery methods including online.
  • Ability to teach on multiple Delta campuses and online (asynchronous and synchronous).
Additional Experiences Considered
  • Teaching experience at the community college level.
  • Relevant teaching experience in the content area and at the community college level.
  • Post-doctoral work in a related field.
  • Demonstrated current and ongoing professional growth
  • Experience working with non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds and with varying academic skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a committee, learning community, grant project, or other related education-based group that requires collegiality and teamwork.
  • Pedagogy is informed by belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion.
