Job description

Essex North Shore is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Experience teaching higher-level mathematics courses, as well as Algebra and Geometry, is desirable.

Licensure in Mathematics (8-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is required.

Satisfactory CORI, SAFIS, DCF check, and SORI are required.

Bilingual ability is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REPORTS TO:

STEAM Coordinator

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provide instruction in the content in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in the specified content area.
  2. Provide instruction in Theory to students in all four grade levels, as assigned.
  3. Document student performance, behavior, and achievement within the career education setting.
  4. Review and reinforce new concepts; support students in completing their assigned tasks.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of students' IEPs, accommodations, and modifications necessary for success; modify assignments, tests, and quizzes in collaboration with special educators, if required.
  6. Develop resources such as models, graphic organizers, class notes, video clips, and demonstrations to assist student success.
  7. Modify assignments, tests, and quizzes as needed.
  8. Participate as a member of the Content Department; collaborate with colleagues within the department and cluster.
  9. Maintain documentation of student performance, behavior, progress, absences/tardies, and communications with parents and administrators.
  10. Provide content support outside the general education classroom when necessary.
  11. Integrate technology into the curriculum.
  12. Respond to correspondence from parents or guardians.
  13. Participate in conferences and meetings, contributing observations and ideas.
  14. Accept additional responsibilities as directed by the Principal or Designee.
