Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) invites applications for faculty to teach mathematics across developmental to differential equations, including linear algebra and statistics. The position requires fifteen credit hours per semester, office hours, college and community service, and ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will prepare and evaluate courses, stay current in the field, and participate in curriculum development while contributing to student-centered learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field with significant graduate coursework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
• Ability to teach at all levels of mathematics from basic arithmetic through differential equations.
• Experience with diverse populations in a learning environment.
• Experience with the use of technology in teaching mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach and evaluate mathematics courses as assigned.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current in the field.
• Provide office hours and engage in college and community service.
• Collaborate with faculty to manage courses, curricula and academic policy.
• Maintain and update the Learning Management System site with syllabi and materials.
• Nominates tutors, writes letters of recommendation, and assists students with special needs.
