Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field with significant graduate coursework.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Ability to teach at all levels of mathematics from basic arithmetic through differential equations.
  • Experience with diverse populations in a learning environment.
  • Experience with the use of technology in teaching mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, teach and evaluate mathematics courses as assigned.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current in the field.
  • Provide office hours and engage in college and community service.
  • Collaborate with faculty to manage courses, curricula and academic policy.
  • Maintain and update the Learning Management System site with syllabi and materials.
  • Nominates tutors, writes letters of recommendation, and assists students with special needs.
