Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County is seeking a Mathematics faculty member to teach courses from developmental mathematics through differential equations, including linear algebra and statistics. The position requires 15 credit hours per semester, office hours, and ongoing professional development at on-campus locations with potential off-site class scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field with graduate level mathematics coursework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach mathematics from basic arithmetic through differential equations, including linear algebra and statistics.
• Experience with diverse populations and teaching with technology.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support student learning with clear instruction using traditional and technology-based methods.
• Meet all classes as assigned; basic teaching load is 15 contact hours per week.
• Communicate course information and respond to emails and calls promptly.
• Provide office hours weekly for student meetings and assess with timely feedback.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and participate in departmental meetings.
• Maintain the Learning Management System site and provide access to syllabi and materials.
