Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in mathematics education or related field with background in education research.
• Demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness and excellence in higher education with a focus on equity.
• Possible for published scholarship in mathematics education.
• Commitment to working with diverse student populations, including low socioeconomic and first‑generation students.

Responsibilities

• Teach equitable undergraduate mathematics courses for future mathematics educators and other students; instruction may be in person, hybrid, or online.
• Teach graduate courses for educators in the MS in Mathematics for Educators.
• Contribute to K‑12 diversity initiatives and credentialing efforts.
• Advise undergraduate and graduate students and support scholarly projects.
• Develop and improve curriculum to raise graduation and passing rates.
• Maintain active research and publications in mathematics education; engage in grant seeking.
• Participate in university and professional service related to mathematics education.
