Working Title Adjunct Faculty

FLSA Status: Exempt (does not accrue overtime)

Pay Information: Initial salary placement is at the first class/step until all required documentation (official transcripts and verifications of previous work experience) has been submitted. Salary adjustments will be made per the Adjunct College Salary Schedules effective upon receipt of official documentation.

Major Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Maintain current knowledge in subject matter areas.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
• Provide quality instruction, creating an environment that encourages discussion of ideas and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics (regionally accredited institution).
• Or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics AND Master’s degree in Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics Education (both regionally accredited).
• Or possession of a California Community College Instructor Credential (valid for life) in Mathematics.
• Or equivalent.

• Equivalency or foreign degree evaluations as specified.
