Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College seeks an Adjunct Mathematics Instructor for face to face and/or online instruction for Fall Semester 2026/Spring Semester 2027. Primary locations in Des Moines Metro area with potential positions at additional DMACC locations.

Review of applications will begin immediately. The candidate must hold a Master of Math or a related master's with 12 graduate credits in Math, and demonstrate the ability to work well with diverse individuals.

Qualifications

Master of Math or any master's with 12 graduate semester credits in Math.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
At least 6 graduate semester credits in Statistics. Teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.
Fosters a safe and civil learning environment.
Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.
