Job summary

The Ladder Method, Inc. is seeking experienced in-person tutors to support West Los Angeles families.

Join a premier private education company and help students build confidence and study skills through dedicated, personalized coaching. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Math/Science, tutoring experience, and the ability to work weekday afternoons/evenings plus at least one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, polished, and highly reliable.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Available for approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring in listed subjects to students.
• Coordinate with families to schedule sessions and adjust plans as needed.
• Tailor instruction to individual student needs and goals.
• Maintain a professional, punctual and supportive tutoring approach.

This is a part time position, approximately 10-15 hours a week. Hours depend on the nature of client requests.

We Are Specifically Seeking Tutors With Strong Proficiency In

• Algebra I
• Algebra II
• Geometry
• Precalculus
• Trigonometry
• Calculus AB and/or BC
• Statistics

Proficiency in Science subjects is a plus, but not required.

We are looking for individuals to work in-person in Los Angeles. The main areas we serve are:

• West areas: Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades
• Central areas: Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills, Bel-Air, Hancock Park
• East areas: Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz
• San Fernando Valley: Sherman Oaks, Burbank, Tarzana, Reseda, Pasadena

We are currently hiring for both immediate placement and the upcoming school year.

Compensation is for in-person tutoring and is determined by experience, subject expertise, and education.
