Job summary

The Ladder Method is seeking experienced Academic Coaches for in-person tutoring in Los Angeles. You will support students with math and science subjects in various areas of the city, delivering personalized coaching designed to improve understanding and study habits.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, have tutoring or teaching experience, and can engage high-net-worth families. Availability for weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in math or a related field.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring to students in the designated Los Angeles areas.
• Deliver math and science coaching to help students build confidence and independent study habits.
• Collaborate with families to tailor instruction to each student’s needs.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality in scheduling and tutoring sessions.
