Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking an educationally passionate Academic Instructor for after-school tutoring in grades K–12, covering math, reading, writing and test prep. You’ll work with small groups of up to four students using pre-planned lessons.

This part-time role offers 3–4 hours daily, up to five days a week, with afternoon and Saturday sessions. Local candidates only; associate degree required, teaching credential preferred; on-site work, with no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required, Teaching Credential recommended.

• Be punctual and reliable with transportation.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Flexible part-time hours around your availability.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, writing, and math with pre-planned lessons for up to 4 students per group.
• Lead instruction in small groups in after-school sessions.
• Work 3–4 hours per day, up to 5 days per week, afternoons and Saturdays.
• No remote work; on-site at center with supportive environment.
