Job summary

StudentNest Group in Florida is seeking tutors to deliver targeted reading or math instruction to elementary and high school students at Palm Beach County campuses. Sessions can be 1:1 or small groups, using our curriculum and instructional technology. A collaborative team supports tutors to foster student growth and confidence.

The role offers a part-time schedule with two days per week during school hours, and potential expansion to additional locations within the Palm Beach area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted instruction in reading or math to elementary and/or high school students.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group tutoring using provided curriculum and evidence-based strategies.
• Support students with IEPs by applying accommodations and interventions.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning styles and levels.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a safe learning environment.
• Track student progress and adjust instruction to promote growth.
• Prepare lesson plans during designated preparation time.

Key Details

• Work Sites: School District of Palm Beach County campuses (specifically Greenacres and Delray Beach locations).
• Start Date: Early September 2026.

Schedule & Hours

• Frequency: 2 days per week (Part-time).
• Flexibility: Hours are customizable during standard school operating hours.
• Shift Breakdown: Sessions can be structured as half-days (mornings or afternoons depending on your availability) and have full days at the Greenacres campus possibly two days per week.
• Growth Opportunity: Potential to expand your schedule and take on additional school locations within the surrounding Palm Beach area.

Pay

• $29-30 per hour based on experience

In this role, you will:

• Deliver targeted instruction in reading or math to support elementary and/or high school aged students.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group tutoring using provided curriculum, evidence-based strategies, and educational technology.
• Support Special Education students by implementing accommodations and interventions aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles, academic needs, and developmental levels.
• Maintain effective classroom management to foster a safe, engaging, and conducive learning environment.
• Track student progress and adjust instruction to promote academic growth and skill mastery.
• Prepare lesson plans for sessions during designated preparation time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in ESE (Exceptional Student Education) instruction or specialized math tutoring.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
• Passion for fostering student growth in a supportive classroom setting.

Clearance & Onboarding:

• Ability to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements and complete fingerprinting within 48 hours of an offer.
• Ability to provide a negative tuberculosis (TB) test within 2 weeks of hire.
• Ability to provide 3 professional references.
• General: Detail-oriented, highly dependable, effective communicator, with reliable transportation and a true passion for learning, teaching, and empowering students.
