Job summary

The Meriden Board of Education is seeking a Math Tutor to assist teachers and students with varied classroom activities, focusing on Math preparation in Evidence-based Mathematics. The tutor will work with students under a teacher's direction to provide individualized and small-group academic support aligned to standards and testing strategies.

Reports to: Building Principal. Employment Conditions: 5 hrs per day, 5 days per week.

Job description

The Math Tutor will assist teachers and students with varied classroom activities, with a focus on Math preparation in Evidence-based Mathematics. The tutor will work with students under a teacher's direction to provide individualized and small-group academic support aligned to standards and testing strategies. Will plan, implement, and assess services to provide targeted interventions that support student growth, confidence, and college readiness.

Reports to: Building Principal

Employment Conditions: 5 hrs per day, 5 days per week

Salary:

• $26.40/hour without a Bachelor's Degree
• Certified Teacher - Meriden Federation of Teachers Member- $45.96
• Certified Teacher - Not Meriden Federation of Teachers- $30.00
• Non-Certified Teacher "Shortage Area" with BA, not Meriden Federation of Teachers- Passing Math Test
