Job summary

Mathnasium of Converse is seeking a dedicated Math Tutor for a part-time role with flexible hours, in-center and online delivery after a 6-month period. You will provide engaging math instruction and support, leveraging the Mathnasium Method™ to help students master concepts.

The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional math ability through Algebra II, a passion for teaching, and comfortable interaction with parents in a collaborative tutoring environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional math competency through Algebra II or higher.
• A passion for math and working with students.
• Ability to instruct in-person and online with flexible delivery formats.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction to students.
• Interact with parents on progress and needs.
• Familiarize with digital educational materials and processes.
• Tutor in-center, online (after 6 months in-center) and/or hybrid using Mathnasium methods and instructions.
• Assess students’ progress and collaborate with team to deliver the best instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional instruction to students
• Positively interact with parents
• Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
• Tutor in-center, online (after at least 6 months of in-center), and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and tutoring practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best instruction possible.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2

About Us

We have been open for almost nine years and have a great team of tutors. We typically employ 14-18 instructors so we are pretty small. This job looks great on your resume because of the focus on helping students. We also have several volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
