Job summary

Mathnasium in La Mesa, California is searching for passionate Math Tutors dedicated to transforming the lives of K-12 students. Tutors will have consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends in a supportive work culture.

The ideal candidates are enthusiastic about math, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and are eager to learn. Training and all necessary materials will be provided to ensure effective teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and undergo training.
• Competent in math up to at least Algebra I.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method.
• Work collaboratively to provide individualized instruction.
• Assess students' learning progress.
• Proficient in digital educational materials.

What you will do as a Tutor

• Teach in‑center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
