Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Math Teacher as a Long-Term Substitute to cover a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule from January to May. The role requires a current Minnesota math teaching license for grades 5-12 and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching and strong communication with students and staff.

The substitute will deliver standards-aligned instruction, track progress, and provide tutoring as needed within a collaborative department.

Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in math for grades 5-12.
• Knowledge of instructional methods and test design principles.
• Familiar with curriculum design principles and learning theories.
• Understanding of the English language structure and grammar.
• Awareness of behavioral and affective disorders and student well-being.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with professional staff to design and coordinate standardized curriculum and testing/assessment designs.
• Create and implement instructional objectives and activities.
• Conduct classroom instruction and tutoring based on lesson plans and student needs.

Pay: $240-$293
Benefits:Long-term substitute teachers earn sick leave and personal time off pursuant to the teacher labor agreement on a pro-rate basis.

• Knowledge of human behavior and performance, mental processes, psychological research methods, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
• Knowledge of numbers, their operations, and interrelationships including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and collaborate with professional staff in an effort to determine and coordinate standardized curriculum and testing/ assessment designs.
