Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate or industry experience for local credentialing.
• AED certificate for Physical Education teachers where applicable.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect district curriculum and accommodate differences among students.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials suited to various learning styles and needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers as assigned.
