Job summary

Discovery Ranch South, located in Utah, is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher to join our educational team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging math instruction to students in grades 7-12, fostering a nurturing environment that supports their healing journey while enhancing their mathematical skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Utah teaching license in secondary mathematics and have a passion for math education. Benefits include health care, life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Able to pass criminal investigation background checks.
• Able to pass motor vehicle record checks.
• Current Utah driver's license (required within 30 days of employment).
• 1st Aid & CPR certified (training provided).
• Aegis certified (training provided).
• Prior teaching experience preferred, especially with middle and high school students.
• Experience in therapeutic settings or with at-risk youth is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with state curriculum standards.
• Develop and adapt individualized instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Assess and track student progress in mathematical understanding.
• Coordinate with therapists to integrate academic and therapeutic goals.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain communication with students, parents, and team members.
• Provide additional support to help students overcome academic challenges.
• Oversee teaching assistants for individualized instruction.
