Job summary

Big Ideas Educational Services is seeking a Math Certified Project-Based Learning (PBL) Teacher to deliver standards-aligned mathematics instruction through engaging PBL experiences.

The role requires differentiating instruction, monitoring progress with data, and collaborating with the Instructional Coach and Site Coordinator to ensure high-quality program implementation. A Florida teaching certificate and elementary education background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Teaching Certificate with Mathematics, Elementary Education, or related certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Education.
• Minimum 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred).
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students.
• Knowledge of Florida's B.E.S.T. Mathematics Standards.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to use student assessment data to guide instruction.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning team.
• Successful Level II Background Screening.
• Completion of required DCF Child Care Training (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Deliver project-based mathematics instruction aligned with Florida's B.E.S.T. Mathematics Standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and analyze assessment data to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with the Instructional Coach and Site Coordinator to implement learning plans.
• Prepare engaging daily lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Incorporate educational technology, manipulatives, and interactive strategies.
• Support family engagement events, STEM activities, and showcases.
• Maintain organized instructional materials and classroom environment.
• Follow policies and procedures in staff handbook.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development, and trainings.
