Job summary

The Math Interventionist works with kindergarten through eighth grade students in small groups in the York City School District to raise math proficiency to grade level or above.

The role requires teamwork, respectful interaction with staff, families and students, and professional problem solving. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of postsecondary study and a teaching-related degree with PA clearances.

Qualifications

• 2 years of full-time postsecondary study in education or math-related field (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in education or math (preferred) or enrolled in a teacher education program.
• PA clearances and mandated training (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Instruct small group math lessons for K–8 students.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain records of attendance and progress using screenings and formative assessments.
• Collaborate weekly with teachers on unit topics and current content.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and families.
