Job summary

Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School in South Hadley is seeking a Math Intervention Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves co-teaching Algebra 1 with a tier three intervention class, and integrating arts and a social justice lens into math instruction.

You will provide mini-lessons, use data to guide progress, support teachers, and collaborate with families and administrators. A BA and MA MTEL eligibility, SEI endorsement, and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• BA degree and ability to pass a background check.
• Two+ years of high school math teaching or tutoring.
• Eligible for MA teaching certification or MTEL within 1 year.
• SEI endorsement.
• Experience with high school students.
• Interest or experience in the arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide math intervention mini-lessons and ongoing assessment for Algebra 1 and Geometry.
• Share updated math data with grade level teams and participate in progress decisions.
• Support and train math teachers to modify lessons using data.
• Support math during study blocks by reteaching and reviewing assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration and families on best practices.
• Attend meetings with students and/or parents as scheduled.
• Participate in professional development workshops.
• Supervise students during non-class times as required.
• Participate in a variety of school-wide events.
