Job summary

Qualifications

• State teacher licensure/certification with appropriate endorsements.
• Bachelor’s degree with subject area emphasis and/or experience necessary to teach the specified grade/subject.
• Demonstrated commitment to students’ learning and achievement.
• Proven proficiency in teaching or tutoring with evidence of effective student/parent interactions.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and enforce behavior codes.
• Plan a program of study that meets students’ needs and aligns with state standards.
• Develop lesson plans and submit them for review; collaborate with instructional staff for feedback.
• Collaborate to implement inclusive practices for students with special needs and use IEP accommodations as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents about student progress; participate in school initiatives.
