Job summary

Mathnasium of Durham is seeking a dedicated Math Instructor to teach and tutor students in-center, online, or via hybrid delivery. You will use the Mathnasium Method to deliver individualized instruction within a supportive, group setting after school and on weekends.

We offer a rewarding role with consistent hours, training, and opportunities for advancement. Applicants should love math, work well with students, and be eager to learn. Background checks may be required.

• Exceptional math competency through Algebra I.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or hybrid using the Mathnasium Method.
• Collaborate with team to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Maintain a safe, professional learning environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Qualifications:

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
