Job summary

The Excel Center is seeking a Math Instructor to design curricula and assessments aligned with Indiana standards and the 21st Century Skills framework. The role emphasizes student-centered instruction and data-driven progress while meeting the needs of adults and high school students in a nontraditional setting.

Expect a typical schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with collaborative planning and ongoing professional development to improve curriculum and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject area and IN teaching certification or willing to obtain emergency license.
• Experience in teaching high school or adult education preferred.
• Knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards and Common Core.
• Strong classroom management and student-centered instruction.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements curricula and assessments to meet standards and measure progress.
• Identifies and tracks relevant student data to set goals and drive improvement.
• Builds relationships with students and communicates progress to students and colleagues.
• Supports school goals with leadership and coaching staff involvement.
• Participates in recruitment and outreach efforts.
