Job summary

The Excel Center, operated by Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., seeks a Math Instructor in Muncie, IN. The role focuses on delivering The Excel Center curriculum with a student-centered approach to reach Indiana standards and 21st Century Skills.

Work days are 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Thursday with Friday flexible/preparatory days. Salary range $48K–$59K, with opportunities for education development and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject specialty and a current Indiana Teaching Certification (or willingness to obtain an emergency license).
• Uses a variety of instructional approaches to engage students and achieve standards.
• Communicates student progress effectively with students and colleagues.
• Collaborates with staff to support student success.
• Background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Design curricula and assessments that meet Indiana Academic Standards and 21st Century Skills.
• Identify and track student data to set goals and drive improvement.
• Build relationships with students and communicate progress.
• Align practice with graduation outcomes and postsecondary planning.
• Support staff with professional development and goal setting.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts.
