The Excel Center Muncie is seeking a Math Teacher to implement The Excel Center curriculum and support students toward graduation. The role emphasizes student-centered instruction, data-informed planning, and collaboration with the instructional team.

Classes run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a Monday-Thursday instructional schedule and Friday flexibility for planning. A bachelor’s degree and Indiana teaching certification are required, with a pathway to licensure if needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in the subject area and an Indiana teaching certification or be willing to obtain an emergency license.
• Uses diverse instructional strategies to engage adult learners and students alike.
• Strong communication skills across oral, written, visual and digital formats; ability to listen and respond to needs.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements curricula and assessments aligned with Indiana Academic Standards, Common Core, and 21st Century Skills.
• Tailors lessons around student needs, incorporating online tools and content.
• Tracks student data and staff performance to set goals and provide feedback.
• Builds solid relationships with students and communicates progress to students and colleagues.
• Collaborates with the school director to meet graduation outcomes and postsecondary planning.
• Supports staff development, recruitment, and outreach activities; helps create a high-performance culture.
