ACCEL Schools is seeking a Math Instructional Aide at East Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports teachers with classroom activities, helps promote positive student behavior, and assists with various school duties to maintain a conducive learning environment.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or two years of college (or Paraprofessional Exam) and proficiency in MS Office, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or passage of the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with classroom activities and promote positive student behavior in academics and extracurricular activities.
• Provide oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate.
• Support lessons, plan activities, and assist with parent relations as directed by Teacher or School Leader.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assist with classroom technology and maintain cleanliness of classroom and common areas.
• Participate in field trips, morning/mismissal duties, and other activities as assigned.
