Job summary

West Oak Lane Charter School is seeking a Math Specialist to support teachers, students, and the Director of Mathematics in achieving school-wide math goals for grades K–8. The role involves data-driven instruction, designing interventions, and administering assessments.

The specialist will collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, provide professional development, and assist in evaluating student progress through data analysis and targeted coaching.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Instructional Certification is required.
• Middle Level Math Certification (I or II) recommended.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two–three years satisfactory Math teaching experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of instructional coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers, students and the Director of Mathematics in achieving school-wide math goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to improve proficiency across all strands of the math curriculum.
• Provide professional development sessions on effective math instruction and data-driven practices.
• Coach groups of students and teachers during intervention periods as needed.
• Analyze math assessment results to identify strengths and weaknesses for targeted instruction.
