Qualifications

• Mississippi teaching license valid with certification in elementary ed, English, math, remedial reading, or special ed.
• Minimum of five years exemplary classroom teaching experience.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide leadership and coordination to school-level efforts supporting at-risk students.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, implement, and revise district curriculum.
• Supervise instructional support personnel and provide leadership for educational programs.
• Provide professional development related to pedagogy and methodologies.
• Guide curriculum and instruction development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Align instruction and assessments, and support vertical and horizontal curriculum continuity.
• Coordinate meetings with principals and teachers to improve student achievement.
• Renew and evaluate school and district data to influence curriculum decisions.
• Foster positive school climate and maintain professional demeanor in all interactions.
