Job summary

Bricolage Academy in New Orleans seeks a Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (Math) to lead curriculum development and ensure standards-aligned instruction across grades. This leader will coach teachers, coordinate PD, and drive data-driven decision making to improve student outcomes in a diverse, inclusive setting.

The role focuses on curriculum maps, assessment planning, and collaborating with the Principal to foster equity and high expectations for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong belief in Bricolage Academy's mission and core values.
• At least 4 years of teaching experience.
• At least 2 years of school leadership experience.
• Experience coaching teachers around Common Core standards aligned instruction and building and maintaining a strong, positive classroom culture.
• Planning and leading PD and data-driven instruction improvement.
• Writing Common Core standards aligned curriculum or leading the implementation of CCSS-aligned scripted curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead with the Principal the selection, creation, implementation, and evaluation of Tier 1 curricular resources including supplementary materials and assessments.
• Effectively communicate the rationale for curricular resource choices.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curricular resources with CCSS and NGSS.
• Plan and lead curriculum-specific professional development for leaders, teachers, and families.
• Develop curriculum maps and scopes and sequences.
• Script class overviews.
• Lead teachers through goal setting and action steps for teaching and learning.
• Facilitate integration of technology, innovation, and design thinking into instruction.
• Plan and lead assessment related professional development and data analysis meetings.
