Job summary

Teaching Lab in Oakland seeks a Facilitator/Coach (contractor) to support high-quality professional learning for educators and school leaders. You will design and deliver PD, provide 1:1 and group coaching, and build collaborative relationships to strengthen instructional practice and student outcomes.

The role is project-based with no guaranteed hours, and travel to Oakland, CA is expected as needed; remote work may be required for some engagements.

Qualifications

• Deep experience coaching educators in grades 6-8 math.
• Experience teaching or coaching Illustrative Math curricula.
• Experience implementing California Common Core State Standards.
• At least two years of instructional coaching with evidence of impact on student learning

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver professional development sessions with feedback cycles.
• Provide 1:1 coaching and group learning experiences, in-person and virtual.
• Build collaborative relationships with educators and leaders to strengthen instructional capacity.
• Support data collection, reporting, and reflection to measure impact.
