Job summary

Pearson seeks a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to join the Asset Creation team in the United States. You will develop and review content and assessment items for state and district clients, applying standards-based practices and accessibility guidelines.

Across grade levels, you will leverage AI-powered tools to create, review, and enhance content, collaborate with educators and psychometricians, and help train writers to ensure high-quality assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent required.
• Five years’ teaching experience in content-specific area preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content area and educational trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Assist in item/passage/test specifications and blueprints.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to develop, review, and enhance assessment content with accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, assign, and train item/passage writers and educators on item development best practices.
• Support customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Contribute to test construction and review of test forms.
• Interact with customers during planning and reviews.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies relevant to education.
