Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore seeks a Unit Associate II for the Zayed 8W Maternity unit. This part-time, rotating-shift role (32 hours) supports nurses and the Unit Coordinator through stocking, restocking, and keeping patient areas well-supplied.

The position involves ensuring clean, organized supply rooms, monitoring expirations, and collaborating on patient-care tasks in a high-acuity maternity environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification at time of hire is required.
• Ability to identify clinical or environmental emergencies and follow procedures.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment, supplies and procedures is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication with staff, patients and visitors.
• General office and computer skills (Windows) are expected.

Responsibilities

• Stock items to WaveMark and supply carts.
• Monitor expiration dates of items and restock supplies and linens.
• Maintain clean work environment and restock supply rooms.
• Collaborate with Nurses and Unit Coordinator to ensure efficient patient care.
• Support Labor & Delivery/Perinatal Inpatient Unit operations.
