Job summary

Sturdy Memorial is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, collaborative, high-quality care across age groups with adherence to nursing standards and regulatory guidelines. The RN will apply the nursing process in collaboration with the care team, ensuring patient safety and comfort in a dynamic unit.

The role emphasizes timely responses, care coordination, documentation, and patient/family education, with growth and evidence-based practice encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; required for Cardiac Rehab.
• Current Massachusetts state RN license.
• All RNs must have current BLS certification.
• ACLS is required with BLS for specified units (Telemetry, ICU, ED, Cardiac Rehab, etc.).
• NRP is required with ACLS and BLS for LDRP.
• PALS is required with ACLS and BLS for PACU and ED.
• New Graduate Nurses accepted for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, positive responses to the needs of patients, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Regularly assess and document vital signs to monitor patient status.
• Document medical history, symptoms, and health status.
• Administer medications per orders and protocols.
• Delegate care per MA Nurse Practice Act and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing plans of care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
