Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nursing Manager for Maternity to lead nursing practice and department operations on a 7p-7a schedule. This full-time role works 36 hours weekly with benefits eligibility and a pay range of $44.15–$66.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include staff interviews, supervision, coordinating communications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing patient flow. RN licensure and BSN are required, with ongoing education supported by the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates without BSN must enroll in BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Supports manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Facilitates communication via staff meetings/huddles across shifts.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates and physicians to assess care quality and dept operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate staff per policy.
• Assists in identifying outcomes and directing continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and disseminates information to staff.
• Performs nursing care, treatments, and medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
