Advocate Health in Matthews, NC is seeking a part-time RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The role features 7a-7p shifts, three 12-hour shifts per six-week cycle, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of L&D experience preferred and hold an RN license with BLS. The 8-bed LDRP unit provides continuity of care without a NICU, emphasizing low-risk deliveries and patient-family engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
• RN license in the state(s) of practice; active multi-state or single-state license.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care and practice evidence-based care.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and UAPs; may float to other units as needed.
• Maintains patient and family communication and supports care transitions across shifts.
