Hackensack Meridian Health's JFK University Medical Center Family Medicine Center is seeking a Healthstart Coordinator to provide high-quality nursing care to maternity patients and support the Healthstart program. You will work as part of a patient-centered team, advocate for families, and participate in quality improvement activities, data analysis, and implementing changes.

Requirements include RN license in NJ, 1–2 years maternal/child experience, BSN preferred, and strong communication;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of one to two years maternal/child experience. Able to multitask and work in a team.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.

The Healthstart Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest standard of nursing care for the all maternity patients of the Family Medicine Center. The Coordinator supports and implements the philosophy, goals and standards of JFK University Medical Center and the Nursing Department of the Family Medicine Center as well as those of the Healthstart Program. Active member in a patient centered-team approach in the care of the patient and families. Works collaboratively with all team members in achieving shared goals with a consistent focus on quality care. Participates in quality improvement activities including data analysis, implementing recommendations, evaluating changes and outcomes.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of one to two years maternal/child experience. Able to multitask and work in a team.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• BSN.
• Knowledge of Centering pregnancy.
• Computer skills.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
