Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a specialized unit as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• Six months or more nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency Program participation.
• One year of Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and/or Nursery experience preferred.
• NRP and ACLS certification is preferred.
• Baby Friendly Initiatiative experience is preferred.
• National Certification in area of specialty or willingness to take exam within one year of hire is preferred.
• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within three years of hire.

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
• Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• One year of Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and/or Nursery experience preferred
• NRP and ACLS certification is preferred
• Prefer experience/knowledge of Baby Friendly Initiatiative
• Prefer National Certification in area of specialty or willing to take exam within one year of hire
• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within three years of hire
